Patrick Jude Madrid Ilagan is a mythological creature that exists in the realm of photography and design. This said creature is made out of lines, words, flesh, bones with some steel.

He is a graphic designer by day in one of the most awesome magazine in the country and a zombie fighter by night. Often spotted in places where ale, cigarette smoke, fantastic music and awesome people are present.

Right now you are looking at some of his work and a relatively small collection of things he found across the web in which he thinks that inspires him to create.

Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story winning 11 awards, including 8 major, gives hope to the degenerative state of the local mainstream film industry and proves that once in a while there’s an exception during the festival of shitty films.

Please release the director’s cut.

“Masarap mamatay sa kamay ng kaaway, ngunit masakit mamatay sa kamay ng kaibigan.”

Best Pinoy movie I’ve ever seen in my life. Sobrang badass.

I haven’t seen the film yet because I am still waiting for the director’s cut but base on what I have read from my friends posts about Manila Kingpin it will be worth the wait. Tikoy Aguiluz should be the head of MMFF next year so that we will not be flooded by shallow and horrendous films because we deserve so much more visually, intellectually, monetarily.

I can’t wait for Cinemalay 2012 :)
